When will I be able to wear makeup again? This is one of the most common questions patients ask as they prepare for facelift surgery. Patients are aware that there will be some bruising and swelling after surgery, so it is understandable that they would want an option to cover them. Makeup can also build on your new look post-surgery.
Most patients can resume using cosmetics 1-2 weeks after the surgery. Cosmetics are useful after surgery to help cover up some of the residual side effects, including bruising, which may last beyond when you are feeling otherwise back to normal. This can sometimes take a fairly thick cover-up, such as DermaBlend, which can be found at most department stores.

Recovering from breast augmentation surgery, as with any surgery, is a gradual process. The total recovery time will vary by patient. In general, the recovery following this procedure is not exceptionally difficult. The typical patient will experience some pain and discomfort and may need pain medication for a few days following surgery. Depending upon the occupation, most patients will return to work 5 to 7 days after surgery.
After 1 to 2 weeks patients can resume non-impact lower body exercise. Four weeks after surgery they can resume more rigorous exercises and 6 weeks following surgery they can resume upper body exercise.
